Stakeholder analysis – analyse and prioritise stakeholders
Professional relationship management means, among other things, that stakeholders are clearly and objectively prioritised. This allows us to use our valuable time wisely, and focus on the right people. Our tool helps to analyse and prioritise stakeholders, and to map them out clearly, using 4 basic models.
Stakeholder analysis
in 4 easy steps
First, choose which models you want to use for your analysis; it is possible to use one or more of them.
Add which stakeholders you are going to analyse. The name and abbreviation fields are mandatory but, for discretion, most people use a number or other anonymous identifier instead of real names.
Next, fill in the value per stakeholder per model (1, 2, 3, 4 or 5).
Choose ‘View result’ to see a clear graphical overview of the analysis.
A few
general tips
Stakeholders are analysed at the same level, so for accuracy, avoid analysing organisations and individuals together.
The models are meant to be a guide, and to facilitate discussion. Importantly, they make it easier to draw conclusions and identify outcomes from the analysis.
Early values given to stakeholders are usually an estimate; over time this assessment should be reviewed and further validated (with colleagues or by involving the stakeholders themselves).
We offer
4 models
Attitude vs. Influence – what is the attitude towards our organisation, versus what is the influence on our organisation?
Informed vs. Attitude – how well informed is the stakeholder and does the stakeholder know our organisation, versus what is the attitude of this stakeholder towards us?
Gaining Value vs. Bringing Value (reciprocity) – how much value does the stakeholder offer us, versus how much value do we offer them?
Influence vs. Impact – which stakeholders have the most influence, versus what impact do they have on the success of our organisation?
Stakeholder analysis – analyse and prioritise stakeholders – 4 easy models to map stakeholders
First fill in your name and email address on this page and choose one (or more) of the 4 models on the next page. After this it is possible to add stakeholders and run the analysis to give them a value.
