Practical information: Who organises this postgraduate?
The Strategic Relationship Management programme is an initiative of the Institute of Strategic Relationship Management (ISRM).
Who are the participants?
Participants in the Strategic Relationship Management programme are graduates with 4 to 10 years of managerial level experience that deal with complex relationship management issues on a strategic and operational level. They come from different fields, such as government institutions, non-profit organisations and commercial environments:
- Marketing and communication managers, account managers, event managers, sales-support staff, investor relations staff, PA’s (business and industry).
- Cabinet staff, policy assistants, communication staff (government).
- Fundraisers, business developers, communication staff (cultural sector).
Who are the trainers?
Strategic Relationship Management is taught by faculty members and guest trainers. Faculty members teach the theory (and supervise the study) and have their own field of expertise. The guest trainers are experts in the field that work on a day-to-day basis in relations management.
What does the integrated assignment involve?
In addition to following the lessons, the participants undertake an integrated assignment: How is relationship management organised within your organisation and what are the strengths and weaknesses of it? The training theory is given practical application in the study, which is geared to one’s own work situation, although it is possible to gear the study to a different organisation.
Literature
The literature that is part of this training must be studied prior to the lessons.
Certification
The Strategic Relationship Management training programme includes an ISRM certificate. The training has been accredited by the Genootschap voor Eventmanagers (Event Managers Association) and the Kring van Kabinetsmedewerkers (Association of Government Cabinet Staff). The training is also part of the study of third-year Bachelor students of the Hotelschool The Hague university.
Costs
Strategic Relationship Management costs €3,995 per person (excluding VAT) and includes:
- 6 training days and 3 training evenings taught by 5 faculty members and 5 guest trainers.
- Lesson material, literature and handouts.
- 6 lunches, 3 dinners.
- 3 nights’ accommodation.
For government employees and private individuals the training fee is €3,995 including 21% VAT.

- Strategic Relationship Management is currently only in Dutch.

What is the time commitment for this training?
Apart from 6 days of lessons, a number of books must be read and a study written. This will require around 40 – 50 hours.

The training will be given on the campus of the Hotelschool The Hague in Amsterdam.
Practical information: general terms and conditions
After registration, no refund will be possible for the participant upon cancellation, although it may be possible to move the date of participation. ISRM reserves the right to move the training to another date or to cancel the training (in the event of insufficient participant numbers). In the case of the latter, the participant has a right to a refund. ISRM is entitled to make photos of this training for ‘social media’ or other purposes. The programme for the training may be subject to changes.
